Special Thanks

SalsaFuriosa is a point of fusion amongst 3 of my passions : internet, photography and Salsa indeed! And it wish to become a part of the net dedicated to the Salsa, a dark cellar where salseras and salseros could find some of their furious passion for this bewitching and vibrating dance.

It is at the time of the 2nd Salsa Congress of Paris, that this site is born from the vaccuum, in order to thank the organizers and participants.

During theses 4 days, admittedly testing for the legs, the dancers circled in the frenzy of latinos rhythms, exchanged shines, figures and crises of insane-laughter, and often, radiated with a bright as much telluric as solar energy.

All this magic, which shows through the feline gestures, the glances of ember, and the accomplice smiles, I could not prevent myself from trying to catch it on these some photographs, with more or less success, because it is not easy to seize the fire of the dance.

But first of all, if this site exists, It is thanks to my teachers as formidable as charming, Nadia and Nathalie. They are the ones who knew how to communicate their passion of Salsa to me. They gave me this splendid reason to live and progress at a time I believed I never regain any anymore.
And if, I still have trouble to put a step after the other at the rhythm of the clave, I foresee thanks to their teaching, their encouragements and their attention, the pleasure of dancing the salsa well, one thing which seemed to me impossible, almost funny for an awkward bear such as I. So, I wish to give a great 'thank you' to Super Mario, who prove me that some weight is not incompatible with Salsa. ( I recommend you his class on K7 "Super Moves 1"!)

My thoughts are also going to those who brought me to this dance To Dorothée, Gwladys & Itziar, I could not have been able to make them dance, waking up in me a terrible frustation, that pushed me out of my own shyness. To Antoine, Marie-Christine & Emmanuel who gave me an initiation to the swing, and to the dance club of Croissy/Seine the ballroom dances. To Kro, for initiating me in Merengue and Caroline of l'Escale and Céline for my first steps in salsa.

I would also like to greet the organizers of the congress, Cliford, Valérie and Severine of Salsabor, Joel and Sarah, Leon Rose and Simone Owen, DJ Alain "Alf", Francisco Vasquez and Monica Gonzalez, Stacey Lopez and Lucy Leon, Club Latino dancers, DJ Thunder, Anton, Nadege, David, Jack 'El Oso' and the paris-salsa forum, and all the dance companies from all over the world that performed in the shows (and excuse me if I forget someone because there was plenty of people!) for their happiness, their their talent and their availability that have made this congress a beautiful success

Thank you finally to all the participants of the congress which contributed too to the success of this congress, and in particular to those which agreed to be photographed by myself in spite of my swearwords because I missed some photos!

Finally, I give a special thank to my pal Fabrice who hosts the 70 mb of this web site.
